The Effect of Salinity (NaCl) Stress and Different Magnetic Applications on The Germination of Cucumber Seeds (Cucumis sativus L.)

Salinity stress is one of the main factors that limit seed germination and plant growth. Therefore, magnetic water was used because it had a positive effect on germination. This study conducted to investigate (MT1, MT2, MT3, MT4, MT5) treatment passing through magnets 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 times respectively, non-magnetic (NMT) cucumber seeds (Cucumis sativus L.) under salinity (NaCl) (S1 = 0.38 dSm-1, S2 4.0 S3 8.0 dSm-1). The experiment by design one-way ANOVA with three replications. results showed significantly decrease in final percentage (FGP), index (GI), coefficient velocity (CVG), 4th day (GP), rate (GRI), while mean time (MGT) increased significantly. In addition, FGP, GP, GI, CVG, GRI were MGT decreased when using compared water. highest values at S1 they 7.8%, 10.0%, 15.8%, 2.4% 16.2%, respectively (8.0 dSm-1), (0.38 FGP 92.20% MT4 obtained dSm-1) lowest value 72.20% NMT research has reduced seeds.
